this is / was the last documentation of our bowl without the copings, done as a sk8 grafix in the late august for our friend Oli Buergin from Basel. The board came out in december as a guest board on ANTIZ.
8,5 and 8,125 wide

the grafic that started it all; theBlackCrossBrothers taught us how to BBQ day and night for the whole weekend without stopping the fire...and the fried pineapple with sugar on a stick was the discover of that weekend. the Brazilian cooking god's recipe.

...this is the tribute to the nice moments we spent together on pumpa in spingtime 2011.

"The Boldriders crew's Pumpa bowl in Postojna, Slovenia played host to what was a distinctly insane screening for Format perspective. The screening was timed to coincide with the 4th anniversary of the construction of their beloved DIY spot, so a bunch of hardcore bands were booked to play after the film was shown. Add London's Craig 'Questions' Scott and his right hand man Jake Snelling and you get a very messy mix! Skating, nasty slams, beer, wrestling, great food, mutilation, mosh pits, nudity, split heads and sunshine! Quite the experience, thanks guys!!"

we started skating pr JAMI around 1990-91. since then we saw many directors come and go and so did some of the skaters. we had bad years when we had to run from the police and 150 kg security guards and we had times when we were the kings there, selling watermelon, going to every single party(maturantski,rock kfje) around the sk8spot and skating there non stop, sun,snow, rain, no matter what.
this has been our street plaža for 20 years...baj baj

clean all the grass so you get to the soil

make the soil nice and tender

control it by hand to eliminate stones and grass roots

plant the bean seeds

cover it up and water it or just wait for rain

*don't worry you're not on some gardening blog...we just planted some beans to try and cover the fence here at pumpa and cook some beans in our kitchen in late summer...hope somthing will grow..

Our Basel brothers left a strong barbakju virus over at Pumpa and we all got deeply infected. Since their departure on easter monday after their last scrambled egg brunch the bbq fire keeps burning. We clean broken tree branches winter left behind and cook spectacular meals on the heat they provide. Thanks for the recepies Alejandro the Cooking god. Pineapple on grill, pealed apples with jam or banana stuffing, čevapčiči&pljeskavice, chicken in orange juice sauce, aluminum foil potatoes, jelly fish shaped hot dogs etc. Weighing scales are setting new standards.

just thinking...after all the work we've done this spring and summer...it makes you forget somtimes how much effort it really takes...pushing the thick sticky concrete upupup and it slides back down again...polishing the shit out of it until 3 or 4 in the morning...coming back in a few hours to water it and see all the mistakes you can't fix anymore...and than again day by day piece by piece into a solid shape of a boldrider bowl...but when you drop now it feels like it has always been there...love concrete
